Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our Bangalore team. This role requires solid experience in both manual testing and hands-on test automation using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and Maven. The ideal candidate is analytical, quality-driven, and comfortable working within Agile development environments. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance-readiness of Privacy Pillar’s technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases aligned with product requirements.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Accessibility, Integration, Smoke, System, and Sanity testing across product releases.
- Build, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Maven.
- Review requirements, contribute to test planning and estimation, and participate in sprint ceremonies including reviews and retrospectives.
- Maintain and continuously improve QA processes, standards, and automation frameworks.
- Identify, document, and track defects through the complete defect lifecycle using JIRA.
- Prepare detailed test summary reports for stakeholders and project teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of experience in software quality assurance with a mix of manual and automation testing.
- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Defect Lifecycle management.
- Ability to create clear and comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test plans.
- Hands-on experience with Functional, Regression, Accessibility, Smoke, and Sanity testing.
- Proficiency in automation tools and technologies: Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Maven.
- Understanding of automation frameworks including Page Object Model (POM), Data-Driven, and Hybrid frameworks.
- Ability to maintain, debug, and enhance existing automation scripts independently.
- Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and backend testing.
- Mandatory experience with JIRA for defect tracking and project management.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across development and product teams.
