Role Overview 

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Tech Lead to join our engineering team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for a hands-on technologist with a strong background in Golang and Python, and proven expertise in building scalable, distributed systems. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable architecting high-performance APIs and microservices as they are mentoring engineers, leading code reviews, and driving technical roadmaps from concept to production. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend systems and APIs using Golang and Python. 

• Architect and implement distributed systems, microservice architectures, and event-driven workflows to support Privacy Pillar’s technology platform. 

• Lead the design and development of RESTful and gRPC APIs, optimizing for scalability, reliability, and performance. 

• Manage and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch. 

• Oversee cloud infrastructure and deployments across AWS, GCP, or Azure using containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). 

• Lead and collaborate on frontend integration with React-based applications. 

• Drive CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices using GitHub Actions, Terraform, Helm, and Prometheus/Grafana. 

• Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical problem-solving. 

• Contribute to and own technical roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business and product goals. 

What We’re Looking For 

• 2–3 years of experience in software engineering with demonstrated leadership or tech lead responsibilities. 

• Strong proficiency in Golang and Python; working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React. 

• Proven experience designing and building distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures. 

• Hands-on experience with major databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch. 

• Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, and Kubernetes. 

• Experience with CI/CD tooling including GitHub Actions, Terraform, Helm, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. 

• Strong understanding of API design principles including RESTful and gRPC standards. 

• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills with the ability to drive engineering teams effectively. 

• Experience with Temporal.io or other workflow orchestration systems is preferred. 

• Proven track record of designing and delivering distributed, high-throughput systems in production environments.
