Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Regional Head – Data Privacy to lead our practice. This is a senior leadership role that combines deep privacy expertise with business development acumen, client relationship management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor who can drive regional growth while delivering outstanding client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to RFP responses, approach notes, and white papers that position Privacy Pillar as a trusted advisor in data privacy and compliance.
• Represent Privacy Pillar at industry forums, conferences, and client engagements to build brand authority.
• Drive regional business growth through strategic client acquisition, relationship management, and identification of upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with C-level stakeholders including CISOs, DPOs, CIOs, and Heads of Legal.
• Oversee end-to-end project delivery across privacy engagements, ensuring quality, adherence to timelines, and high client satisfaction.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex client issues and deliver solutions that align with regulatory and business objectives.
• Manage, mentor, and inspire high-performing privacy consulting teams.
• Support strategic hiring initiatives and drive capability-building programs to scale the regional practice and strengthen market presence.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in data privacy, information security, or compliance consulting.
• Proven track record in a client-facing or advisory role, preferably within a consulting firm or Big 4 environment.
• Strong understanding of global and Indian privacy regulations including DPDPA 2023, GDPR, ISO 27701, and related frameworks.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive-level stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead business development efforts and contribute to revenue growth.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering large-scale privacy programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
• Preferred certifications: CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT (IAPP), CISA, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or any recognized DPO certification.
